If it has roots, shoots, flowers and leaves, is waxy, fragile, sturdy or brittle, terrestrial or aquatic-it’s a very diverse, wide-open theme. Included in the exhibit are pencil drawings, paintings and pastels by River Valley Artists Guild artists who celebrate the visual beauty of summer’s diversity. NEW! Patty Koch is a self-taught painter, Susan Miiller shares the mysterious luminosity of her close-up floral imagery, Joe Petrosi’s color pencil drawings share a burst of color and serenity. NEW! At Bon Secours: Susan Miiller’s Summer-themed paintings and pastels. Art About Town Curator Susan Miiller’s oil on canvas works share the mysterious luminosity and meditative spirit of Summer. Miiller is the recipient of several awards, is teaching faculty at SUNY since 1999 and her work is in many important collections nationwide NEW! At Mayor’s Office, City Hall: Joe Petrosi’s color pencil drawings. Joseph Petrosi is a Certified Art Specialist, textile airbrush specialist, and award-winning artist. In 2012 the Times-Herald Record chose him as Best Ink and Pencil Artist in the Hudson Valley. “I hope people looking at my artwork will enjoy the burst of color and serenity of the scene. NEW! At Deerpark Town Hall: Joan Kehlenbeck’s Summer Florals. Joan Kehlenbeck is the President of the River Valley Artists Guild. Joan has shown her oil paintings and pastel drawings regionally.
