AUTUMN SPECTACULAR!
October 1-November 26, 2022
Join us in celebrating the longest days of Autumn with our show: Autumn Spectacular! Included in the exhibit are photographs, paintings, and pastels by artists that celebrate the visual beauty of Autumn found in Orange County, NY. Curator of Art About Town, Susan Miiller, says: “I hope the viewer will enjoy the appeal of rich Autumn color and style of our local talent!”. Join us at these venues! Bon Secours Cafeteria, Gio’s Gelato Café, Port Jervis Free Library, Mayor’s Office and Deerpark Town Hall.
NEW! At Gio’s Gelato Cafe. Featured are works by the members of the River Valley Artists Guild. Judith Cramer works in acrylics, pastel and pencil in styles ranging from Impressionism to the Abstract. Daniela Cooney’s love of animals and natural landscapes is prevalent in her vibrant paintings. Rena Hottinger is an award winning painter and photographer. Joan Kehlenbeck is President of the RVAG and shows her pastels and paintings regionally. Patty Koch is a self taught artist with nearly 50 years experience. Judith Weiss begins her work from landscapes then moves into recall and feeling.
NEW! At Bon Secours: Curator of Art About Town, Susan Miiller’s fall themed works. Susan received OCAC’s Community Arts Grant in 2018 and 2019, and Orange Arts Grants from 2019 to 2009 for “Deerest Deerpark”: Susan received an M.F.A. degree in 1992 and has been teaching faculty at SUNY since 1999. NEW! At Port Jervis Free Library: Works by artists from the Plein Air on the Delaware event. Plein Air on the Delaware was an outdoor community event for artists, Beginners as well as master artists joined in to celebrate the historic Delaware River and scenery in Port Jervis, NY.
NEW! Mayor’s Office, Port Jervis City Hall: Joe Petrosi’s color pencil drawings. Joe is a Certified Art Specialist , airbrush specialist, and award winning artist. In 2012 the Times-Herald Record chose him as Best Ink and Pencil Artist in the Hudson Valley.
NEW! At Deerpark Town Hall: Joan Kehlenbeck’s fall themed works. President of the River Valley Artists Guild. In addition to her numerous responsibilities with the Guild, Joan includes important local, historic buildings and scenes in her drawings and paintings. In 2016, Joan was awarded Individual Artist Award by the Orange County Arts Council.
